Luss Parish Church is now in a position to offer the facility of a live video picture of any wedding or service taking place in the beautiful ‘wedding’ church on the banks of Loch Lomond.

An investment of over £30,000 has enabled the Church to be equipped with miniature cameras and sophisticated editing and video-streaming equipment. After an exhaustive period of research, testing and fine-tuning the system is now fully operational and a contract has been entered into with a streaming company who will take the signal from Luss and distribute it around the world.

Although streaming is expensive because it uses significant amount of bandwidth for which the Church has to pay the Streaming Company, the Church is anxious to keep the cost of web-streaming to a minimum and for the rest of 2006 a special offer is being made available for any couple who wish it. For the sum of £200 Luss Church will provide a live stream of your wedding to enable members of your family and friends who are unable to be present to watch your wedding as it happens. Normally four cameras will be used ensuring a high quality presentation. The price of £200 also includes a DVD of the wedding as it has been streamed on the internet as a lasting memento of your wedding.

The Luss Church equipment provides a very high quality DVD picture and the four camera set-up ensures that all of the angles are covered. Permanently installed microphone equipment ensures good quality sound and yet this DVD is included as part of the streaming package which at £200 is significantly less than the normal cost of a single video operator. The DVD provided is unprotected to enable you to make as many copies as you wish for your friends and family.
